"Wonder Bread Wisdom":
"...How easy it is to compare ourselves to other people and
where they are, and compare ourselves with friends or even
compare ourselves with spiritual teachers. We think we don’t
measure up and can never do so. We’re afraid to trust the Voice
that is within us. So we search everywhere but inside. We place
our trust in the outside and become frantic when we aren’t
receiving the peace inside. We’re all over the place
spiritually, we change our minds frequently, searching from
different places the answers and changing as the wind does...
...We
can go to the store and buy a loaf of bread. It’s all there,
packaged and ready to eat. We think it tastes good to us and so
we keep going to the store to buy the loaves of bread. It’s
easy, just hop in the car and enter the store and pick up the
loaf of bread. There’s no real work involved, someone has done
it for us and we have our bread.
On the other end, we can make our own bread. We can pull out the
flour, yeast, water and other ingredients and put our hands in
it, working and kneading the dough. We can shape it and mold it
and place it in the pan to rise and then to bake. When it comes
out, the smell is delicious and the bread is the best that we
have ever had because of the time and the love and energy that
we took to work with it.
This is the same with the spiritual path. We can go to spiritual
authors and teachers and gurus and get the Wonder Bread Wisdom
or we can join together with Holy Spirit and do the handiwork
with Him and receive a wondrous return on our investment in the
Healing Hearth..."

New Book
in our Bookstore "Course Koans" by Rev. Jean Weston, O.M.C., M.S.T.
This
book is a study of A Course In Miracles and its key ideas
using selected 'koans' or quotes from the text and other sources
to help us understand the direction ACIM.
The study of ACIM takes great dedication and inner searching and
many people find it quite cumbersome and incredibly difficult to
understand at first. It is like learning a whole new language.
Because of this, many give up, feeling other paths are more user
friendly. However, once you get past these early resistances,
ACIM becomes quite clear and simple, though it may still be
difficult to do.
For this reason, “Couse Koans’ can be a great help to ‘jumping
in’ for the early student or the merely curious. It is also a
wonderful reminder to those more advanced in their studies. Hope
