I was born in Amarillo, TX sometime in the late Stone Age and raised
in the Southwest; I bill myself as “the world’s shortest Texan.” I
taught English in high school and business school, received a Ph.D.
in English Education, and taught in higher education for 18 years. I’ve
traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada, the
Caribbean, and Europe and no, I was not running from bill
collectors. A Course in Miracles found me in 1993 in
Oshkosh, WI (don’t ask what I was doing there at the time). I have
been in various Course groups and even led some of them, much to the
dismay of the participants, I am sure. I’ve written quite a few
newsletter articles based on the Course and now I’m attempting a
book on the subject—a short book. I’ve always loved
sketching and painting but haven’t done much of it because I was too
busy with other things, like making a living and patching the holes
in the roof (“which kept my mind from wandering”). However, now
I’ve resigned myself to being a starving artist and so I have plenty
of artwork to share with you.
I live in Pittsburgh,
PA, which is where I met Revs.
Deb and Paul Phelps and many other wonderful people affiliated
with the Course. Oh yes, my husband and two cats live with me in
Pittsburgh, although none of us are really starving, which you would
notice if you took a look at our waistlines.
